Days after a man was left with a severed leg following a shark attack in ankle-deep water, a stampede of swimmers desperate to reach dry land ensued. There have been numerous reports of shark attacks near popular beaches around the world, and the sightings are becoming more common. Recently, a man in the United States had his leg "pretty much shredded" after being bitten by a 7-foot beast.

Two sharks were spotted in shallow water off the coast of Jacksonville, Florida, where most people would assume they were safe because they were so close to land. Alex Brace was sailing in Tenby Harbour, Wales, on Sunday when he saw a large shark swimming into the water. A woman swimming near Penzance, Cornwall, was bitten by a blue shark and had to be rescued by the Coast Guard.

One of the Penzance Coastguard Rescue Team was dispatched to assist a snorkeler who had been injured by what they believe to be a shark bite. On Thursday, just before 12.30 p.m., the Coast Guard was notified (July 28). "The coastguard team met the casualty at Penzance Harbour to assist in passing them onto the care of the ambulance service," says the coastguard. "The swimmer is believed to have suffered a leg injury."

Several weeks ago, a man dived into the ocean to save his wife after a shark bit her leg. When a man tried to free the hook from the shark's jaws over the side of his boat at the end of last month, the shark ripped off his finger.

Video has emerged of two huge sharks hunting in shallow waters of a popular beach, as people scream for others to 'get out of the water,' as terrifying animals approached children swimming. It was only a few feet away from swimmers in shallow water when two sharks were spotted, prompting swimmers to leave the area.

The moment we saw it, we were in ankle-deep water, according to Alex.

At first, my friend and I thought it was a ray or a fish, but then we saw the fins and realised it was a shark. After a couple of minutes, it started to move away from us and toward Saundersfoot. "

It had to have been about 12 feet long in total, based on the distance between its fins being around 5 or 6 feet long. Several people I've spoken to and shown the video to believe that it was most likely a basking shark.
